In conjunction with releasing a request for public comment on two separate March 9-1-1 outages by AT&T, the FCC released preliminary information from an investigation. Lisa Fowlkes, acting chief of the FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB), said preliminary information found that a March 8 outage lasted about five hours in the U.S. Southeast, Central and Northeast regions.
